Welcome Back – The Collection Returns

During the comprehensive renovation, Jenny and Sidney Brown’s outstanding collection was on display outside of Baden for the first time. In the exhibition “Welcome Back,” the Impressionist masterpieces are presented in a new layout and under the same lighting as they were in the Browns’ day.

BiglerWeibel

With obvious delight in decontextualisation, Jasmin Bigler (*1993 in Bern) and Nicole Weibel (*1990 in Niederhünigen) challenge as duo BiglerWeibel entrenched notions of upper-class living and transform the historic ensemble into a fluid stage set.

Shortly before and during the renovation of Langmatt, he created various installations that demonstrated a lucid engagement with Langmatt’s historical memory. In his cabinet exhibition, the artist is sure to surprise us once again.

Silvan Wegmann – Langmatt Cartoons 2024 to 2026

Silvan Wegmann (*1969 in Solothurn, lives in Baden) is regarded as one of Switzerland’s most prominent cartoonists. During the two-year renovation of the Langmatt, he took up a theme related to the renovation once a month and turned it into a pointed, humorous illustration.

«Raumfahrt VIII» (Space Travel) features three artistic practices that explore intimacy, presented by Nefeli Chrysa Avgeris (b. 1993, Basel), Paula Santomé (b. 1994, Spain), and Sina Schöpf (b. 1994, Bern).

Digital Langmatt

A variety of digital offerings allow visitors to explore a different, surprising side of Langmatt. They open up a wide range of experiences, from Impressionist masterpieces and anecdotes from the lives of former staff members to the park’s biodiversity.

The apps and park admission are free of charge. Smartphones and headphones can be borrowed free of charge at the museum ticket office. Wi-Fi is available in the museum.

Audioguide Impressionism

The Impressionism audio guide features 20 short audio tracks on the most significant paintings in the collection. The texts provide a wealth of information about the works and the artists.

Was lebt im Park?

The audio tour Was lebt im Park? (What Lives in the Park?) provides interesting background information on biodiversity in Langmatt Park. In German only.

Finde Harry!

The digital scavenger hunt Finde Harry! (Find Harry!) takes the whole family on a fast-paced tour of the park. The focus is on Harry F. Brown, the family’s youngest son. It’s an exciting hunt for clues, during which Harry keeps slipping away. In German only.

Audioguide Villa

The Villa audio guide offers a wealth of information in short audio clips on selected examples of craftsmanship, the building’s technical systems and the lives of the staff at Langmatt.

Children's Audioguide

The children’s audio guide takes you on a fun tour of the Langmatt Museum. With ten short audio clips,
you can discover works of art and treasures. Recommended for ages 8 and over. In German only.
